Following another request from CFA Victoria overnight, the ACT Emergency Services Agency (ESA) has sent a second task force, to assist the Victorian bushfire fighting effort.

The task force is made up of resources and personnel from the ACT Ambulance Service, ACT Rural Fire Service, and ACT State Emergency Service, including volunteer and full time members along with a support crew from the ACT ESA.

The ACT sent the following resources at 6:30am this morning:

• ACT Ambulance Service - One 4×4 Ambulance and two Intensive Care Paramedics;
• ACT Rural Fire Service - six appliances (three CAFS units and three heavy tankers) and around 40 volunteer firefighters - Jerrabomberra, Rivers, Gungahlin, Molonglo, Hall & Guises Creek
• State Emergency Service - one Troop Carrier and Support Trailer with 2 volunteers; and
• ACT ESA - mechanical support section with one full time mechanic.

The crews from the ACT are deployed on the Eurobin Sector of the Buffalo Division of the Ovens Fire. Their sector is located between Myrtleford and Bright, along the Great Alpine Road. Currently working under a DSE Sector Leader. Crews staging out of Bright.
