ACT Task Force #1 sent to Victoria

Following a request from CFA Victoria, the ACT Emergency Services
Agency (ESA) has sent a task force to the southern state to assist
with their growing bushfire situation.The task force is made up of
resources and personnel from the ACT Ambulance Service, ACT Rural
Fire Service, and ACT State Emergency Service, including volunteer
and full time members along with a support crew from the ACT
ESA.The ACT sent the following resources:

ACT Ambulance Service - One 4×4 Ambulance and two
Intensive Care Paramedics

ACT Rural Fire Service - eight appliances (six heavy Tankers and
two Command Units) and around 40 volunteer firefighters-
Jerrabomberra, Rivers, Gungahlin, Molonglo, Hall & Southern
Districts
-
ACT State Emergency Service - one Troop Carrier and Support
Trailer with 2 volunteers

ACT ESA - mechanical support section with one full time mechanic
"ACT firefighters worked shoulder-to-shoulder with their
Victorian colleagues at the weekend. An Emergency Services
Authority ACT taskforce of 40 volunteers and eight appliances,
along with ambulance and SES support crews, has worked to protect
properties in the Mansfield and Wangaratta regions. The taskforce
will spend the next two days helping before returning to the ACT on
Wednesday.”
