ACT Community Protection Medal - 2007

On Thursday 22 March Simon Corbell, the Minister for Police and Emergency Services, awarded this year's recipients of the ACT Community Protection Medal at a special ceremony at the ACT Legislative Assembly, as part of Canberra Day celebrations.

The ACT Community Protection Medal is an annual award given to one recipient from each of the five ACT’s emergency services which protect and serve the ACT community: ACT Policing; the ACT Ambulance Service; the ACT Fire Brigade; the ACT Rural Fire Service and; the ACT State Emergency Service.

The 2007 recipients are:

• Senior Constable John McDonald (ACT Policing)
• Ms Rebecca Lundy (ACT Ambulance Service)
• Russell Cameron (ACT Fire Brigade)
• Cliff Stevens (ACT Rural Fire Service)
• Ms Kristin Cantle (ACT State Emergency Service).
