The beginnings of a staging area were being set up at Bulls Head. All available Bushfire Service vehicles were now made available to the fires both in the ACT and NSW, arrangements were made for the ACT Urban Fire Brigade to deal with bush or grass fires within the city boundaries.

The strategy at the Bendora Fire changed to indirect attack to the south and direct attack to the north. Two bulldozers began work, protecting assets and assisting in the indirect attack.

Bulldozers were also constructing earth breaks to create a fallback position for the McIntyres Fire, northwest of Uriarra Pine Plantation. Water bombing was still taking place along with aerial observation of all fires. The Gingera Fire was still to the west of the Mt Franklin Road; no resources were sent to the Stockyard fire. Cross-border liaison was now in place between NSW and ACT. Crews stayed overnight at the Bendora Fire for the first time.
